
Louisa Sexton is an award-winning, London-born actress, voice over artist, writer, filmmaker and photographer.

Her acting career began at the age of 3, when she played the role of Katy Turner in BBC1's drama series 'Tears Before Bedtime'.
At age 16 she became a member of the prestigious National Youth Theatre of Great Britain.
When she turned 18 she trained at The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts and gained a BA (hons) degree in acting. She received her degree from Sir Paul McCartney, the school's founder.

Since graduating, Louisa has worked professionally as an actress in TV (BBC, ITV), feature films, theatre (West End, London & UK Touring), international commercial & voice over campaigns, short films, music videos, workshops and rehearsed readings. In 2022 she was the lead female role in Brazilian TV series 'Independências', directed by 5 x International Emmy-nominated director Luiz Fernando Carvalho. ​

With a passion for telling stories to amplify female voices, Louisa founded her production company Embouchure Productions in July 2021 and it's first short film, 'The Ceiling' written by, starring and executive produced by Louisa is currently in the festival circuit. It has already picked up the Best Screenplay Award at San Diego Short Film Festival, Best Acting Ensemble award at World Indie Film Awards (2023) and nominated for Best Script at BIFA qualifying Exit 6 festival, where it was also an official selection, and is currently a semi-finalist at the Cannes Indie Shorts Awards.

Her first short film, 'Third Bench on the Left', was nominated for Best Short Film at London Shorts Film Festival 2021 and she won the Jury Award for Best Actress at the Europe Film Festival UK in 2021. ​

As well as acting, writing and making films, Louisa is an enthusiastic photographer. She takes professional headshots for actors and in her spare time enjoys street photography, capturing once-in-a-lifetime moments and making them last forever. Louisa also teaches speech and drama to children and young adults and is passionate about building confidence in the younger generation.
